Ha quindi inizio il primo turno di scommesse, in cui il primo giocatore a parlare è quello posto alla sinistra del giocatore del grande buio. Lo schema delle scommesse varia a seconda del gioco: limit o no-lomit. Limit ha uno schema di puntata e rialzo di 2x -limit non ha, mai, alcun limite
Il Flop
Il mazziere scarta sempre la prima carta del mazzo, un’altra carta comune viene deposta scoperta sul tavolo ed un ulteriore giro di scommesse ha inizio.
Il River
Dopo aver scartato sempre la prima carta del mazzo, il mazziere gira l’ultima carta comune. Questa è l’ultima carta posta sul tavolo a cui segue un ultimo giro di scommesse.
La parte finale: lo show down
E’ venuto il momento di mostrare quello che si ha. Il giocatore che riesce a realizzare il miglior punto secondo le regole tradizionali del Poker con cinque carte utilizzando le due carte in mano e le cinque in comune vince la mano, tenendo in considerazione però che, giocando con un mazzo da 52 carte, il full batte il colore.

Il poker alla texana, a differenza del poker classico, ammette anche dei casi di parità nel gioco: in queste situazioni, il regolamento prevede la spartizione del piatto. - Nel caso di carta più alta, se appartiene alle due private vince il giocatore che ha la carta più alta, altrimenti se è tra le 5 comuni, si conta la seconda più alta (il cosidetto kicker). Se è pari anche questa, si procede allo split-pot (divisione della posta)
- Idem, come sopra nel caso di doppie coppie, tris, e ogni altro gioco.
