Giusto qualche giorno fa avevo parlato dell’incredibile vincita di oltre 1 milione di dollari su di un casinò online. Si tratta di una variante del poker texas holdem che ha molto in comune col poker alla texana o texas hold’em poker.
Le regole del Poker Omaha. Nel poker omaha valgono di base le regole del poker alla texana, con alcune differenze. Ogni giocatore riceve quattro carte private, mentre sul tavolo ve ne saranno un massimo di cinque. Il giocatore deve giocare con due carte della quattro carte che ha in mano e tre delle cinque sul tavolo.
Tipi di Poker Omaha. Il poker Omaha e’ un gioco con differenti variazioni: omaha high, omaha hi-low (o anche poker Omaha 8 o Omaha/8). Il Poker Omaha High si differenzia dal poker alla texana per il numero di carte in mano (4 anzichè 2) e per il vincolo dell’utilizzo di due della cinque carte successivamente. Ma per il resto, small blind e big blind, flob, turn, river e modalitá progressiva delle puntate e valore dei punti, non cambia nulla.Ripilogando, quindi si riconosce un mazziere (dealer), e i due giocatori alla sua sinistra che devono progressivamente puntare prima di iniziare la mano la posta dello small e bid blind. Di li si distribuiscono le quattro carte (pre-flop) che solo il giocatore può vedere e utilizzare, e si effettua un primo giro di puntate, dove a parlare è il primo giocatore alla sinistra del giocatore che ha giocato il bid bind.
A questo punto, nel flop, si girano le prime tre carte comuni. A questo punto, chi parla è il primo giocatore ancora in gioco alla sinistra del mazziere. Altro giro di puntate e si gira la quarta carta, il turn. Altro giro di puntate, nel caso e si gira la quinta ed ultima carta: il river. A questo punto se non vi sono puntate, si elegge il vincitore. Se due giocatori finiscono col medesimo punteggio, si divide la posta in gioco. Ovviamente, nella definizione dei giochi, valgono le regole del texas hold’em poker.
Quello che invece cambia è quando ci si siede a un tavolo di poker Omaha Hi-Low. In questo caso, viene sia premiata la mano alta che quella bassa. E tra questi due viene diviso il piatto. Nella determinazione della mano più bassa, non valgono semi e colori. Una carta ha solo il suo valore numero. La mano bassa più vincente in assoluto e’ la sequenza 1-2-3-4-5. E ripeto, anche se formano un colore.
