Contando che le carte hanno un valore da 1 a 10 numerico, e assumento che il J vale 11, la Q 12, il K 13 e l’A 14, per capire se conviene giocare una mano o meno bisogna sommare le carte che si hanno in mano al pre-flop. Le carte dello stesso seme (suited) aumentano il valore delle carte in mano.
Quando si gioca in posizione di early position la somma delle carte in mano deve essere 25 o 26. Il che riduce le carte giocabili a molte poche, AQ o AK o KQs (s sta per suited, dello stesso seme) e poche altre.
In posizione middle, invce, e a seconda della posizione interna, si può giocare anche coppie di carte che totalizzano 25-24-23 punti come K10 A9 e molte altre comprese ovviamente le coppie.
Altra raccomandazione, da tenere a mente quando si gioca online e seguente questa tabella indicativa, è che a fronte del rialzo di qualcun’altro, i termini di valore lievitano verso l’alto. Infine da valutare anche l’opportunitá di sfruttare la late position per portarsi a casa il piatto. In torneo e quando il gioco del poker si fa duro, ritorna molto utile per il proprio bankroll.
