In effetti, imparare a gestire il proprio bankroll è una delle cose più difficili per ogni giocatore di texas hold’em Poker. Recentemente, ho letto due articoli interessanti al riguardo, e direi che i consigli di Chris Ferguson al riguardo son decisamente interessanti.
Chris Jesus Ferguson è uno dei professionisti più noti del circuito del Poker alla texana, e sta facendo un esperimento in cui è partito, sui tavoli di Full Tilt Poker, da un bankroll di 0€ per giungere a un bankroll di 10.000€. Ovviamente per farlo ci vuole abilitá, capacitá di gioco, ma sopratutto autodisciplina, e rispetto delle regole che ci si impone. Ecco come lui consiglia di farlo.
E’ da ribadire la necessaria costanza e professionalitá nell’approccio al gioco. Il poker alla texana, giocato da professionisti, è un lavoro. Ha le sue regole, e ha bisogno di costanza e professionalitá nell’approccio. Il che significa, ad esempio, non buttare le regole alle stelle solo perchè ci si sente in vena, o perchè il tavolo da gioco appare pieno di polli da spennare. Ricordate, solo chi è capace di darsi delle regole e rispettarle sará capace di raggiungere i propri obiettivi.
Naturalmente, per iniziare da zero, l’unica possibilitá è giocare ai tornei satellite gratuiti che permettono, con nessuna spesa di vincere piccole somme di denaro. Chiaramente non è un lavoro facile, ma prima o poi ci si arriva. A questo punto, si comincia a costruire il proprio bankroll. Ma come mantenerlo? ecco le regole di Chris:
- Mai giocare a un tavolo cash o un torneo Sit & go che sia maggiore del 5% del proprio bankroll. Con l’unica eccezione del minimo possibile.
- Mai giocare a tornei multi-tavolo che costino più del 2% del proprio bankroll, con l’eccezione dei tornei da 1€ dove si può giocare liberamente
- Ogni volta che ci si siede a un tavolo No-Limit o Pot-Limit e i soldi sul tavolo rappresentano più del 10% del proprio bankroll, si esce dal tavolo non appena arriva il turno dei propri bui
Chiaramente, la cosa più difficile, nel cercare di costruire il bankroll, è affrontare con serietá le sconfitte. E’ poco stimolante dover abbassare il limite del proprio tavolo, ma certe volte necessario, come dice Chris, che potete incrociare sui tavoli di Full Tilt Poker.
